Accommodation Description

The property is accessed from Ludlow's historic Corve Street via a private driveway. There are small shared gardens in front of the Mews and the parking is adjacent within a walled and private parking and garage block enclosure.

The cottage is double fronted with large Georgian style sash windows and a pretty front entrance. There is heating in each room and the whole property has been refurbished to a good modern standard.

From the front door, a separate entrance hall leads to a good sized, well equipped, modern kitchen with usual facilities including full size cooker with extraction, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine etc.

The kitchen is open with the dining area in a pleasant well lit area to the front of the property. No need to bring an iron; there is one provided together with a board,

Back through the entrance hall leads to the main lounge/living area. This again is well lit by its large sash windows and is neatly furnished with comfortable seating for all guests. Television, VCR, DVD and CD facilities are available and we have attempted to create a pleasant and comfortable living area for all our guests.

We provide a small selection of books and magazines, and our own collection of local tourist information to browse through. There are playing cards and a few board type games etc available.

The stairs lead first to a neat well equipped bathroom which contains modern shower facilities with extraction. There is no bath. The room has a fixed fan heater and a heated towel rail. Quality towels etc are provided for you.

The first bedroom contains a double bed with bedside lights and tables. A radio alarm is provided and there is a mirrored dressing area. A fitted wardrobe includes modern shelf type space and hanger storage for your other clothing. The fitted wardrobes are equipped with sufficient hangers.

Both bedrooms are at the front of the property and each has a sizeable sash window.

The beds are fitted with hollow fibre duvets and pillows to cater for those with allergy issues. (2 feather filled pillows are also available in the cupboard if preferred.) The beds are slightly on the firm side of medium, which we understand to be the preference of the majority.

The second bedroom has a large fitted wardrobe and linen cupboards. There are two full sized single beds with bedside lighting. Again the large Georgian sash window is a particular feature of this pretty room. There is also a radio alarm and a hairdryer together with the usual dressing etc facilities.

For your trips out, we have provided a cool box, flask and the picnic plates and cups etc. together with ice packs for you to borrow. Our own local tourist information even suggests a suitable local spot by the river!

We are constantly improving and updating so there may be changes since the photos.

Limitations

The property has no ground floor sleeping or special access facilities and is therefore unsuitable for visitors with such needs. Also, for the benefit of all guests we operate a no smoking and no pets policy in the cottage.

This town centre cottage is indeed quite secluded and quiet in its private mews.

It is located down a short private roadway directly off Corve Street, which is one of Ludlow's most historic and important shopping streets. The private access and the garden and parking areas are shared by several mews cottages and cannot be gated. The cottage and location may not therefore entirely suitable for all children.
